Unattended Beach Equipment

All unattended beach equipment, including tents, canopies, volleyball nets, and other items, must be removed from the beach strand each night. Read more about the ordinance here.

Beach Parking 

Paid Parking is in effect from April 15 - September 17, 2023, at the Western and Eastern Ocean Regional accesses. Parking ranges from $2-$4 an hour, depending on the day and time of season. The most a vehicle will pay for a full day is $16. Payment is accepted through debit or credit cards only, and transactions can be handled through either of the two kiosks on site at the accesses, or through the Passport Parking app on your smartphone. 

Parking Passes for Town Residents and Property Owners

Emerald Isle residents and taxpayers are eligible for free seasonal parking permits for these two facilities. Emerald Isle taxpayers are eligible for 2 free annual parking permits for the Eastern Ocean Regional Access and Western Ocean Regional Access. Click here to learn more and apply for a permit.  The Town does not offer seasonal parking permits to non-residents and non-taxpayers.
